The Ohiopyle Steering Committee is seeking dedicated, experienced individuals to join its ranks and help guide the future of the Borough of Ohiopyle. With two vacancies to be filled, this is your chance to contribute to important community projects and decision-making.

About the Steering Committee:

The Steering Committee plays a vital role in supporting the Borough Council by executing projects and addressing the needs of Council members. The committee is composed of seven members, including one Council Member Chairperson, one additional Council Member, and five appointed individuals. Each committee member serves a two-year term, with the opportunity for reappointment.

Current Opportunities:

– Two available seats for a two-year term (ending in November 2026)

– Members with at least 10 years of professional experience and relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply

– Monthly meetings held via Zoom (second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM) from March to November, with a summer break

Key Responsibilities:

– Attend and contribute to monthly committee meetings

– Assist the Borough Council with project execution and community support

– Collaborate with other committee members to address urgent issues and contribute to ongoing projects

– Prepare and submit meeting minutes, agendas, and reports to the Borough Council

Qualifications:

– Minimum 10 years of professional experience and relevant qualifications

– Ability to contribute to decision-making and project implementation

– Commitment to attending monthly meetings and engaging with the Borough Council

Application Deadline:

Applications are accepted until January 15th. The Council will appoint new members during the February Council meeting and the first Steering Committee meeting will be held in March.
